Crockpot Zesty Chicken

I got this recipe from a friend and my kids and husband told me to add it to the 'rotation'! Even my 5 year old loves it.

Crockpot Zesty Chicken

4-5 lbs of frozen chicken breasts
1 Cup Zesty Italian Dressing
1/2 Cup Water
2 Pkgs Ranch Dressing Mix
1 Tbsp Chili Powder
1/2 tbsp. Ground Cumin

Put the frozen chicken (as much as you can) in the crockpot. Mix the above ingredients well and pour over the chicken. Put the lid on top. Now.....
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or
Cook on high for 4-5 hours.
Once you've determined that the chicken is cooked, shred those babies and return to the crockpot for at least 30 minutes. Dear Lord, it's delicious and juicy!

The Basics of Card Making-The Paper

In the past few weeks, as I was on Instagram in the search, I came across the beautiful video of a card. It was by Jennifer McGuire of Jennifer McGuire Ink, a truly talented lady. That, of course, got me on here page where I (obsessively) dove into all her posts. Thus getting me into this beautiful world of card-making.

Now, I'm sure all the money I've spent in the last 2 weeks at Hobby Lobby and Michaels for this isn't what you need to start on this adventure, but alas, I spent it.

First, we're going to start with the basics. And that is the paper. If you are a beginner and want to practice, you can start with regular cardstock. Once you get going, I highly recommend using Neenah paper in 80lb weight and in Bright White or Classic Crest Solar white. I found the 65lb and others at Walmart (I've added the link) and have seen it at other places as well. Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock that is 118lb and is also great to use and comes precut to 4.25x5.5, perfect for card making products.

Next up is Vellum. Ellen Hutson and Neenah make really good vellum. If you will be using vellum for your foundation in your card, I recommend using a heavy 40lb. If not, you can use a lighter weight. I found some Neehah at Walmart with pretty prints.

For colored cardstock, My Favorite ThingsSimon Says Stamp and Papertreyink offers a good selection, but so does your favorite craft store. Just make sure it has some weight.

Most importantly, there is GLITTER and FOIL cardstock!!! Dear Lord. YES!!!!!

Ok my lovelies, that should get you started. I'll be posting more basics and hope my posts are informative and help you!
